Yep, that's Lily and me in HER crib! One of her favorite things. Just out of the blue she will grab my finger (death-grip like) and pull me to her room and say, "UP". The first time, I lifted her up and gave her some books. But she wanted ME in there too! Hilarious and super snuggly-cozy.

What an awesome trip to Utah-I got to sit in on Erin's defense of her thesis!!! It was a proud moment for me. At one point Chance turned to me and said, "....she's amazing!!" Truly a hugh accomplishment and the culmination of 2 years of hard work, sacrifice, and growth.

I'm only going to get my feet wet....

I can remember the days when our girls would be at the beach or out by the pool and they would say, "We're only going to get our feet wet..." and of course in the end, they were wet (and often times sandy) from head to toe. That's how Lily ended up this day as well!

I love this picture of my parents-they are adorable. It's taken on the porch of the beach house not too long before they were married. It's amazing how much they still look the same to me even though 50+ years have gone by.

Sometimes the last minute plans are the BEST...

It's not very often that we have a weekend without a long list of "have-to's" but as the week drew to a close we came up with the brilliant idea to head to San Francisco to spend some time with Jana, Joe and Lily. It's so wonderful to have our own "Bed and Breakfast" right there! (It's more like Airbed and Oatmeal but we love it!!) And we could not have ordered a more perfect weather forcast-clear, sunny and warm! We spend most of the day outside visiting our favorite haunts and enjoying some of my favorite people.
