Blast from the past....

So I'm involved in the Lodi-Manteca-Stockton Dance Festival "A Time to Dance"....I got talking with the Director about my involvement in a dance festival way back in 1977. Next thing I know I was making a YouTube video to share with the youth on the dance festival blog that is under construction. Here's a sneak preview..

The Tokay Open......

We've loved watching the US Open but even better is watching Emma play for Tokay High. She's having fun and doing well....and keeps her coach and teammates cracking up off the court.

Making Memorial Day Memorable

This just feels right....

I don't know if I really like canned pears, but it just feels right putting these up in my pantry. And I know my mother-in-law would be completely thrilled because up until the last couple of years, she spent the better part of every summer canning, drying, making jam, or fruit leather. It was just what she did and who she was. I understand just a little now, the satisfaction she received from her labor. So here's to you Grandma Brink....and if all else fails, I know Lily will love them!
