The Beach House

One of our favorite things to do is walk or drive or run or bike around neighborhoods and look at houses. And of all the beautiful homes along the coast, this is my favorite. Not because of the remarkable architecture or unique doors or windows, but simply because it was the home of my Nana and Papa, the home my dad grew up in, the home where I spent wonderful weekends and summers as a child, the home where I brought my "babies" and now as they are grown we love and long to spend time here together.

My Girls.....

We got to fly Megan home for a whirl-wind 5 days. We attended Stake Conference-the feeling of having Elder Jeffrey Holland still lingers, then headed to the beach house for a few days. Having Megan and Emma together gave me a huge dose of laughter!! Megan flew back to Provo to snow flurries-

Mothers and Daughters

We added some great memories to the beach house as mothers and daughters gathered for a few days. Couldn't believe it was 75 degrees and sunny....we don't always get that in July!!

Lily and Lucy....sounds like BFF's to me!!

Lucy's not too sure she is OK with Lily taking center stage at our house. Wherever Lily was, Lucy wanted to be there too!

Starting the Day Off Right

Jana and Lily came to stay with us for a week while Joe was at a dental student conference in D.C. and this was my favorite time of day....getting up and being able to spend time with Lily. I don't think it's a bit too early to teach her the joy of hot chocolate in the morning!

It Started 13 Years Ago....

We were invited to go skiing 13 years ago with a group of couples who took an annual ski vacation together. Who would have thought it would become such a fun tradition and a source of wonderful friendships. We've missed once or twice but look forward to it every year!!
